Annual Deer Roast T-Shirt Quilt

This family has had a family reunion/deer roast since 1982. Starting in 1989, the family reunion/deer roast has included a t-shirt. This quilt is made from the t-shirts from 1989 through 2010.

The stack on my work table is the start of the quilt. The next picture is the center square.

More pictures to follow!

Santa Claus is Coming to Town

I always run out of time at Christmas to make everything I want to make. This year I started early!

Sam

We planted tomatoes this year and we had to figure out how to keep the birds off the tomatoes.

Went to the fabric store and bought tulle (netting). Brought the bag home, set it on my work table and I guess you kmow what happened. Sam had to sit on it!

Shirttails

Here is another quilt in the style of my Grandmother. She was a frugal farm wife in Southern Indiana and a talented quilter. (If you want to see her picture, look at my earlier blogs)

The quilt is made of many Civil War reproduction fabrics. It is a sampler quilt with many different blocks. The outside border is a piano key border and finishes the quilt nicely!

Peacock Feathers

Here is my latest quilt! I love the colors in the peacock feathers and feather tips. The blue, green and orange really pop.

Sam helped me when I was taking pictures for the Etsy listing. Since he was there, I took his picture.
